Andy Reid Selling All His Eagles Gear, For Some Reason
Former Eagles Coach Andy Reid is auctioning off his team gear for charity. Apparently they don't really need much Eagles paraphernalia in Kansas City, where Reid works now.
The Philadelphia Business Journal reports:
Items at the “Andy and Tammy Reid Moving Sale” will include Eagles gear-and-ware — including hats, dinnerware, glasses, gift items, tickets signed by players and miscellaneous memorabilia. Many items are autographed. Several Eagles players will also be on hand to sign items that have been purchased. Autographs will be offered for a fee of $25.
The sale will also include suitcases, purses and miscellaneous items, according to Harriton High
Andy Reid Says He’s Eaten At 50 K.C. Barbecue Joints Already
No, really:
In an interview on Sirius XM Radio, Reid told “Schein on Sports” host Adam Schein that he has eaten at dozens of K.C.’s famous barbecue joints.
"I've eaten at about 50 Kansas City BBQ places and I haven't found one I don't like," is the Reid quote tweeted by New York-area sportscaster Andrew Catalon during the show -- a tweet that Schein retweeted.
That would mean that Reid has put a pretty big dent into K.C.'s heralded barbecues. A Yelp search for "BBQ" comes back with 79 restaurants featuring barbeque in "Kansas City" -- an area that includes restaurants in both Missouri
At Long Last: A Philadelphia Eagles Bridal Garter Set
Valentine's Day may have come and gone, but it's never too late to surprise the man in your life with Philadelphia Eagles bridal garter set!
Even if you fail your pre-wedding football quiz, a la Diner, you can make up for it by flashing a little post-wedding green. And if you've got the kind of man who's turned on by $8.50 Eagles lingerie, you might just be the kind of gal turned on by Andy Reid's mustache. In which case, do I have the t-shirt for him!

Big Charlie's--in case you're wondering why the heck a South Philly bar is celebrating Andy Reid--is the city's resident Chiefs bar. H/T Spike Eskin.
Chickie’s and Pete’s Following Andy Reid to Kansas City
Chiefs coach Andy Reid misses Philly cuisine so much, he's apparently requested Chickie's and Pete's install a branch right in his new backyard, in Kansas City, Missouri.
This year, a Chickie’s & Pete’s pavilion will debut at Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun, an amusement park operated by the company that owns Dorney Park. The Kansas City location will offer Crabfries, traditional and lobster cheesesteaks, and cheesesteak nachos. Pete is also in talks with the Kansas City Chiefs about a Chickie’s & Pete’s in Arrowhead Stadium.
Alright, Reid probably has nothing to do with it, but how else can you explain the demand for
Report: Andy Reid Wants Nick Foles All to Himself
Now that Michael Vick is back for good, and Chip Kelly product Dennis Dixon has been signed too, presumptive Eagles starting QB Nick Foles may be expendable. Ever eager to relive those 2011-2013 Eagles glory years, Chiefs HC Andy Reid wants his man back. USA Today reports:
The Chiefs and new coach Andy Reid are interested in acquiring Foles if he becomes available, according to a person informed of the team's thinking. The person, who spoke to USA TODAY Sports on condition of anonymity because the Chiefs haven't discussed their thoughts publicly, said the team is working on plans to add
Reid Still Haunting Eagles; Andy’s Old Pal Tapped to Lead Birds’ Offense
Andy Reid just won't go away. Just as the Eagles were breaking free from a good relationship gone stale, new head coach Chip Kelly has hired back a member of Reid's braintrust to run his offense: former quarterbacks coach Pat Shurmur. Shurmer's spent his last two years coaching the Cleveland Browns, and before that, was O.C. for the Rams. The stats, as Birds 24/7 notes, aren't overwhelming.
The Browns ranked 30th and 24th, respectively, in scoring offense with Shurmur at the helm. The Rams ranked 32nd and 26th with Shurmur as the offensive coordinator.
The Eagles will also reportedly hire fan favorite
Chip Kelly “Thin-Skinned” When Criticized By Media
According to a sports reporter in Oregon, brand new Eagles coach Chip Kelly is "very sharp," "quick on his feet," and "he will say something pretty interesting lots of times." So, the opposite of Andy Reid. Great! Not all is smooth on the horizon, however: "He does have a little bit of thin skin when he’s criticized, especially if he thinks it is unfair criticism, and I suspect he’ll get some of that in Philadelphia." Not for a few days, at least. [CBS 3]
It’s Finally Over! Eagles Hire Chip Kelly
Nearly two weeks after first courting Oregon coach Chip Kelly (and after nearly two weeks of thinking Chip Kelly had rejected the Eagles), Lurie and co. have brought the Duck to Philly.
Jeffrey Lurie, Howie Roseman and Don Smolenski took their best shot at Kelly back on January 5, as a scheduled lunch spilled well into the night and lasted some eight hours. Oregon booster and Nike co-founder Phil Knight reportedly made a strong push to keep Kelly with the Ducks, and it looked like it had worked. Not so fast.
“Chip Kelly will be an outstanding head coach for the Eagles,” said Lurie, as the
“Drunk with Power,” Howie Roseman Is Dooming Eagles Coaching Search
CBS football reporter Jason La Canfora is mostly flabbergasted by the Eagles aimless quest for a head coach, which has them "chasing every hot college coach, scrambling to the media to confirm some coaching interviews, obscure others; releasing skewed information about your whereabouts and resorting to day-late spin tactics after being repeatedly left at the altar." But he does have one theory for why the Birds haven't been able to land an HC, after knowing for months Andy Reid wouldn't be back.
I wish I had a dollar for every time someone told me one esteemed coach or another advised one
