Beyonce Reveals the Power of the Fake Boob

Oh Beyonce, you’ve put me in a bad position this time. I defended you when you took over multiple rooms while giving birth to Blue Ivy; I defended the lip-synching at the Inauguration, but the faux nipples … faux nipples, B? I don’t believe I’ve even heard the phrase before, “faux nipples,” let alone had to type them, or think about whether they are right or wrong.

Seth Meyers Is Perfect for Late Night

My eyes lit up when I read that NBC was replacing Jimmy Fallon with Seth Meyers on the Late Night show. I only started watching Saturday Night Live in earnest (i.e., not only on YouTube) this past year, but immediately got hooked on "Weekend Update" and Seth's twinkle-eyed delivery.

Alas, Kacie McDonnell Not Leaving Fox 29 to Marry Prince Harry

Fox 29 traffic reporter Kacie McDonnell stalked Prince Harry during the royal Jersey Shore visit today, but alas, her dreams of becoming SILs with Kate aren't happening (for now, because, you never know, and I don't want to be the one to say a girl's not princess material). Naturally, Fox 29's Jennaphr Frederick was Kacie's winglady.

Really, this is all for the best because who needs the paparazzi constantly trying to snap you topless and hours of painful small talk in receiving lines and endless thrusting of posies into one's hands and the constant comparison to another long-haired brunette at the

7 Sex Scenes We Do Not Want to See

This week’s release of Star Trek Into Darkness has nerds everywhere sweating through their completely un-ironic Captain Kirk t-shirts. But what’s getting their tighty-whities in a twist is the film’s take on Spock as a Vulcan love machine, locking lips with his Starfleet girlfriend, Uhuru. No matter how much chemistry there is between actors Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana, one thing I do not want to see is a Spock sex scene (even if it reveals an erotic use for the Vulcan nerve pinch). In an effort to spare our eyeballs from similar horrors, here’s a list of other pop

Prince Harry’s Jersey Shore Visit: 13 Must-Stop Spots (Including Wawa)

On Tuesday, Prince Harry will be visiting Seaside Heights and Mantoloking, two towns that were torn apart by Hurricane Sandy. That's a very nice gesture, and one that should raise spirits—or at least throngs of screaming women—for a town that's been through so much in the last six months.

But let's be real here: This is Prince Harry. Prince "Parties Naked in Las Vegas" Harry. The guy's got some more touring to do.

Hava Nagila (The Movie) Tells the Story of a Famous Song

Hava Nagila (The Movie) employs everyone from rabbis and scholars to Harry Belafonte to describe the story—and cultural impact—behind the famous song. The film, opening today at Ritz at the Bourse, is a joyous, witty ode to a single from the soundtrack of our lives. One of the producers is Broomall’s Marta Kauffman, who helped create a string of successful sitcoms in the 1990s, notably Friends. Her involvement will surprise some, but Kauffman, 56, is right where she wants to be. I talked with her recently about how Hava Nagila (The Movie) fits into her current career path and why sitcoms do not.

Love-Hating and Hate-Loving Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth, Gwyneth, Gwyneth. While we should be spending our precious time worrying about Amanda Bynes’ downward spiral—which, surprisingly, is concerning me more than is natural—we are back to fixating on Gwyneth. In movies, she’s amazing, sparkling, smart: In the new Iron Man 3, just like the previous two, she’s “girl Friday” to co-star Robert Downey, Jr. But then press junkets and magazine interviews and cookbook intros and GOOP happen; she opens her mouth and wham! She says something so pretentious, so self-important that a thousand online articles are born. Don’t believe me? Just type, “Gwyneth Paltrow is…” into Google and see for yourself. (Hell, even us here at Philly Post/Philly Mag can’t get enough of her: here, here, and here.

Arianna Huffington Wants You to Unplug

A popular feature on the iPhone 5 (also available as an app on older models) is "Do Not Disturb," a program that blocks texts, emails and phone calls. Yes. An app that does the same thing that, well, the user can. My friend Janel said they should have called it "Will Power."

Former NBC Page: In My Story, Matt Lauer’s a Hero, Not a Villain

Last Saturday night, my husband and I had some friends over for a little dinner party. When the conversation shifted from innocuous topics—colleges their oldest daughter is applying to, trips we should all take together—to morning television, I held my breath and hoped there wouldn't be any Matt Lauer bashing. Unfortunately, that didn't work.

Dead Kris Kross Rapper Chris Kelly Was Just 13 When He Recorded “Jump” in Philly Studio

Kris Kross rapper Chris Kelly, who died yesterday in Atlanta of an apparent drug overdose, was only 13 when he and Chris Smith recorded their catchy classic "Jump" in Philadelphia at Studio 4 and Digital Tekniques and Digital Sound. Local label Ruffhouse (distributed by Columbia Records) issued the duo's 1992 debut album Totally Krossed Out, which "Jump" propelled to sell four million copies. Follow-ups "Da Bomb" and "Young, Rich and Dangerous" were also released on Ruffhouse, which relocated from Northern Liberties to Conshohocken in 1994. Kris Kross later signed with Judgment Records, founded by Joe Nicolo who co-founded Ruffhouse along
