Turns out the dude dressed in KKK garb to make a point about black-on-black violence has quite the background as a provocateur. This week, Philadelphia social worker and family therapist Abena Afreeka announced her "Nigga Recovery Program." The Bryn Mawr College and Drexel University graduate says it's time to do something about the "addiction" to the N-word that she sees in so many black people today, and she says she has the answer.
That statement is a truth-fact. Mostly because Kevin Mackie of Montgomery County won one Grammy award and Katy Perry and Lady Gaga both struck out last Sunday. Mackie—who works as a dairy manager at the Cheltenham Shop Rite—won a Grammy for Best Children's Album for his work on All About Bullies... Big and Small.
