Turns out the dude dressed in KKK garb to make a point about black-on-black violence has quite the background as a provocateur. In 2003, Nicholas 'Sixx' King, walked on stage during the Grammys, then did it again at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. Also, he's a former Daily News "Sexy Single." Philadelphia Therapist Offers Recovery Program for People Who Use the N-Word Too Much

This week, Philadelphia social worker and family therapist Abena Afreeka announced her "Nigga Recovery Program." The Bryn Mawr College and Drexel University graduate says it's time to do something about the "addiction" to the N-word that she sees in so many black people today, and she says she has the answer.

That statement is a truth-fact. Mostly because Kevin Mackie of Montgomery County won one Grammy award and Katy Perry and Lady Gaga both struck out last Sunday. Mackie—who works as a dairy manager at the Cheltenham Shop Rite—won a Grammy for Best Children's Album for his work on All About Bullies... Big and Small. Nothing like the dairy guy at the Shop Rite winning a Grammy to make you feel like you're idling. [CBS 3]

Last night’s Grammy Awards marked two momentous occasions: the first public memorial for Whitney Houston, who died in a Beverly Hills hotel room on Saturday, and the first time rapper Chris Brown was allowed to return to the ceremony after being blacklisted following charges for beating the crap out of his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, in 2009.
For the Grammys, it was a moment of respectability and shame—though maybe not for the reasons you’re thinking.
