“This has probably been the most insane couple of months of my life,” says Matthew M. Quick. It’s the Tuesday before February’s Oscar ceremonies, and the 39-year-old author, an Oaklyn, New Jersey, native and graduate of La Salle, has been at the beck and call of the Weinstein Company for weeks. He’s been running a gauntlet of press interviews ever since Silver Linings Playbook—the Bradley Cooper vehicle about a suburban Philadelphia family coping with mental illness, adapted from Quick’s 2008 debut novel—was nominated for eight Academy Awards.

Nooooooo. Philly's own adopted girl-next-door from the diner-next-door has been revealed as the loose-living miscreant she portrayed in Silver Linings Playbook. Perez Hilton has a photo of her day-drinking in Hawaii, avec hand-rolled joint-like item. (No word on whether she met up with Barack Obama's choom gang.) I've posted two Jennifer Lawrence videos today, a fact about which I'm a little ashamed. But this last one--I promise--is the best. What begins as some playful flirting between Jack Nicholson and the Best Actress winner (observed awkwardly by a lost and scared George Stephanopoulos) ends up looking like someone might want to take things a step further. The video is a bit hard to hear, so here's a transcript from a gossip blog.
A star-struck Lawrence could hardly believe the unexpected meeting with the Hollywood icon, who praised the “beautiful job” she did in Silver Linings Playbook.

Two Jennifer Lawrence videos in one morning? When else would we get to do it? Especially in sports and entertainment, reporters can ask incredibly tedious and shallow questions. I've never seen anyone do a better job of making those reporters look ridiculous than Jennifer Lawrence does here, in a winsome post-Oscar interview session.

As a straight male, I don’t judge Oscars style based on hairstyles, shoes or jewelry. I can’t tell the difference between a dress from Tom Ford and one from Target. Instead, I utilize the time-honored Bro Scale, influenced mostly by the traditional “hot or not” metric, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and the shopping-mall couture of Bebe.
